If your TikTok profile is set to private, it means that only users you approve can view your content. However, to participate in campaigns and maximize your visibility, your profile must be set to public.
How to check your profile status and switch it to public
Open the TikTok app.
Go to your profile by tapping the Profile icon in the bottom right corner.
Tap the three lines (☰) in the top right corner.
Go to Settings and privacy > Privacy.
At the top, you’ll see the "Private account" toggle.
If it's enabled (green), your profile is private.
If it's disabled (gray), your profile is public.
How to switch to a public profile
To make your profile public:
Follow the steps above to reach the Privacy settings.
Tap the "Private account" switch to turn it off.
Once it’s off, your profile is now public, and anyone can view your videos.
